Our Ayahuasca has a story.
We began the traditional way — hands stained with plants and hearts full of vision. We reduced kilos of vine and leaf to fine powder, cooking them slowly in great pots for days, watching ten liters of decoction transform into one.There were triumphs, failures, and lessons in humility. Entire batches lost to a moment’s distraction, pots forgotten on the fire — three days of effort gone up in smoke. Yet every mistake became part of our apprenticeship with the medicine. Cooking Ayahuasca was not just a craft; it was an initiation into patience, reverence, and surrender.

Meeting the Muricata Brew from Ecuador 

As ceremonies grew and calls for healing multiplied, preparing every brew by hand became a monumental challenge. Then, as if guided by divine timing, our main plant supplier introduced a pre‑cooked Ayahuasca — a pure Muricata base, without the light plants but with the full presence of the vine.Discovered in 2021, this extraordinary medicine transformed everything. Gone were the long cooking marathons, the household filled with strange jungle aromas, to the dismay of the kids. The Muricata brew brought consistency, purity, and gratitude into our process.

Ayahuasca and Sustainability

Our favorite preparation, the Muricata red Ayahuasca, comes directly from Ecuador. Yet success has its shadow: the growing global demand for Ayahuasca has made the vine increasingly rare and costly. Today, one must journey ever deeper into the forest to find mature, suitable vines.Thankfully, an awakening is happening. More communities are replanting and harvesting responsibly, avoiding the uprooting of the roots — which contain even stronger alkaloids — to ensure regeneration.We source our Ayahuasca exclusively through a trusted provider from Ecuador, ensuring each harvest complies with sustainable and ethical standards. Every vine we use honors the forest from which it comes. It is also cooked in a manner that provides unparalleled quality, at slow température (40° Celsius max) with ultrasonic technology. This is the real gold of the plant that we offer.

And Then Came the Mimosa Bark

Soon after, another ally revealed itself — Mimosa hostilis root bark, rich in DMT and ancient in its own right. When blended with the Muricata vine, it gave birth to what we now call the Quantum Brew — an Ayahuasca of striking clarity, depth, and purity. This marriage symbolizes our philosophy at Quantum Vines: where ancient wisdom meets contemporary understanding. When Mimosa tea joined the Muricata vine, Byron Metcalf’s rhythmic journeys entered our ceremonies as if summoned by the medicine itself. Our current protocol balances precision and intuition: we drink the Ayahuasca first, wait forty minutes for it to open the gates, and then follow with the Mimosa tea.
